- Many teenagers felt the need to get their friends approval on what clothing they would purchase. Their opinions starting serving as a big role in what teens would purchase because they were now shopping with their friends
- High school girls had to choose from large sizes in the children's section or small sizes in the womens section that would suit their changing bodies, they did not have their own section at the beginning of the 1920s, but when clothing companies realized this they began making clothes that would suit teenagers.
